| The Department
of Communication Sciences is part of the Institute
of Social Sciences at the University
of Minho. The department offers a ‘Licenciatura’ (a
5-year undergraduate degree) in Communications and a Master’s
degree in Communication Sciences. It also contributes with courses
for degrees in International Relations, Sociology and others.
Research management in the department is the responsibility of the Communication and Society Research Group. The department has 27 members of academic staff and three members of support staff. We have a wide range of collaborations with national and international institutions, as well as with a vast number of media and communications companies.
